A crash involving a concrete truck has sparked a major compliance operation at a transport company in the Sydney suburb of Rosehill.

At about 4pm on Thursday 3 January 2019, a fully laden concrete truck was travelling north along Rooty Hill Road North approaching the intersection of Richmond Road, Dean Park, when it rolled while attempting to negotiate a right turn, NSW Police reports.

It came to rest on the northern kerb under the M7 overpass.

The driver and passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash. Further inquiries revealed the driver, was on his first full day of driving for the company.

As a result, Traffic Task Force officers and Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) inspectors attended a company on Shirly Street, Rosehill on January 10.

A heavy-vehicle compliance audit was conducted on 23 vehicles, with results including nine minor defects relating to seating, vehicle lights, number plates, seatbelts, tyres and suspension.

Three formal warnings were issued by RMS Inspectors.

Police reports it also conducted six random breath tests and six random drug tests, all of which returned negative results.

Police also released footage of the audit
